Inspired by the neighborhood storefront restaurants found throughout Chicago, SOLO Trattoria is a casual, comfortable spot with a seasonal menu driven by the best of what’s available right now. Complimented by a carefully-selected wine list featuring over 35 bottles, craft beers and signature cocktails, the menu is respectful of tradition but not bound by it.
Chef Craig Degel
A native of Southern California, Craig brings more than 10 years of restaurant and bar experience to SOLO Trattoria. After graduating from the University of Arizona, Craig spent 10 years in Chicago before returning to Phoenix where he is a veteran of the kitchens at Restaurant Noca (where he worked under both Chris Curtiss and Matt Taylor), Cork in South Chandler and Fox Restaurant Concepts. His time in Chicago included stints at the House of Blues Hotel, Keefer’s and the Millienium Park Grill. At SOLO, he combines the spirit of California with the soul of Chicago to craft Italian-inspired food that is focused on finding the best ingredients Arizona has to offer and treating them with respect.
